What is PEN-LYMPICS?
PEN-LYMPICS transforms The Peninsula into an Olympic-style community celebration. Neighbors become teammates, friendly rivals become champions for a cause, and every event is an opportunity to make a difference. Inspired by the Olympic spirit of teamwork, camaraderie, and friendly competition, participants compete with heart and raise vital funds for Special Olympics Delaware and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Oak Orchard/Riverdale. Every challenge, every cheer, and every dollar raised reflects the extraordinary impact of a community united by purpose.

PEN-LYMPICS proudly supports nonprofit partners that create opportunities, inspire potential, and strengthen our community by providing life-changing programs and meaningful experiences for individuals and families throughout our region.
The Experience
A Celebration of Team Spirit
The 2026 experience expands beyond a single day of competition. The celebration begins with a Kick-Off Event and continues with a Lip-Sync Competition, Olympic-style Opening Ceremony, team games throughout the day, and an Awards Ceremony.
Kick-Off Event
Join us from 6:00–7:00 p.m. at The Cabana Bar to meet our nonprofit partners and sponsors.
Lip Sync Competition
A fun-filled evening of family-friendly entertainment showcasing creative community performances with special guest judges from Second Street Players at the Riverfront Theatre and Milton Theatre.
Opening Ceremony
Olympic-style ceremony featuring a symbolic torch lighting, parade of teams, and inspiring messages from our nonprofit partners.
Team Competitions
Cornhole, Tennis, Bocce, Golf Pitch, Swimming, Trivia, Pickleball, and Basketball.
Relay Race
The grand finale, where all teams compete for the PEN-LYMPICS Championship!
Awards Ceremony
Recognizing participants, teams, and achievements from the day.
Event Schedule
Game On
Players may compete in multiple events if the schedule permits.
Opening Ceremony
The Clubhouse veranda and back lawn. Torch lighting, parade of teams, and nonprofit remarks.

The competition comes alive through creative team identities, friendly rivalry, and Peninsula community spirit.
Each participant joins the fun with a $50 tax-deductible donation, paid directly to Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware. Following the event, proceeds are shared equally between Boys & Girls Clubs of Oak Orchard/Riverdale and Special Olympics Delaware, helping create lasting impact in our community.
